Your Guidance Office (YGO) is an organization operated by experienced, award-winning college admissions coaches aiming to provide superior service with the highest level of support and integrity. Our programs are designed to work for students in middle school, all the way through doctorate.
Our mission is simple; we strive to help your children get admitted to the right college, while receiving the most financial awards possible to help offset the high cost of education. These awards can be in many forms including scholarships, grants, tuition waivers and more, yet all are financial awards that do not have to be paid back. Since the YGO class of 2010, based on information provided to us by our students, our students have received more than $20,000,000 in free financial aid from the colleges to which they applied.
Each family is assigned their own personal college coach. That coach will work directly with your children to give them the guidance they need. Just think of your family's college coach as your personal GPS navigator as your kids travel the road to higher education. Knowing how to use the admissions process correctly, and how to create a desirable student profile is key to receiving funding offers directly from the universities. In our program, we teach your children how to accomplish this goal.
Unfortunately, Your Guidance Office does not offer loans, legal advice, tax advice or financial advice. When those services are needed, you will be referred to a professional in their respective field that is familiar with college planning strategies.
Sadly, they typically do not; although your school college counselor helps you to get ready for college, they don’t help you to get into colleges, how to succeed on the SAT/ACT, and improve in other crucial areas. A study of students that went on to higher education was underwritten by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. During the course of the study, they found the following to be true:
The American School Counselors Association responded to the “harsh” statements with the following:
At YGO, we believe that schools in America are cutting back and failing to increase the counselor-to-student ratios, as well as the amount of time that counselors have in offering educational guidance. With our services, this lack of guidance is made up for.
Although it may seem that we are not advocates of school counselors, we truthfully love school counselors and appreciate their hard work for students. We do not want to replace them, we simply strive to work with them, filling in the holes of any help that they provide to you. Above all, our priority is solely our students and families.
